    These digital x-rays allow us to capture images of all of your teeth and your jaw structure. They are useful in orthodontic planning, wisdom teeth assessment and for a general preventive check for other pathology that may be present. 

Restorative Dentistry:

Restorative Dentistry covers fillings, crowns, bridges, root canal treatment, and implants.  We aim to restore damaged teeth to a fully functional and cosmetically beautiful state. Where this is not possible we are often able to use bridges or implants to replace them.

    Dental crowns, sometimes known as a tooth cap is a tooth-shaped structure that is placed upon a weakened or broken down tooth to protect it from further deterioration.

    Our dentists use modern techniques to restore your damaged teeth with tooth-coloured filling materials.

    Root canal treatment is used to repair and save an infected tooth. This allows you to retain your tooth, ensuring normal biting force and chewing efficiency, a natural appearance and protection of your remaining teeth from excessive wear. Root canal treatment can take between 2-3 visits to complete. A crown may be needed to structurally strengthen the tooth after the root canal treatment.

    We use a titanium fixture placed in the jaw where a tooth or teeth are missing. This may be used to replace one or more missing teeth. Dental implants have very high success rates and are almost always the best way to replace missing teeth.

Surgery Procedures:

We provide both simple and surgical extraction of teeth, including some wisdom teeth. We also carry out some surgical placement of implants.

    Wisdom teeth are the last set of molars that emerge in our late teen years. Sometimes they can cause pain and become infected and can affect other teeth adversely. Wisdom teeth removal involves extracting these teeth to maintain oral health.

    This involves the placement of a titanium implant fixture to replace the root of the tooth. Once the implant has become integrated with the bone the dentist can begin the process of restoration

Children’s Dentistry:

We have an Oral Health Services Agreement contract with the Health Ministry to provide free treatment to all secondary school pupils from year 9 until they turn 18. This covers all aspects of dentistry except orthodontic treatment.

We can also accept referrals from the school dental service for specialist treatment for children still at primary school. 

We are also happy to treat children as private patients where the parents would prefer to have them seen by a dentist for regular care or for a one-off treatment or consultation.

ACC:

When teeth are damaged in an accident we work with ACC to repair them for you. We do not charge a surcharge for this work where ACC fully funds the treatment.
